Central Team Visits Medigadda Bridge For Inspection!

Without any doubt, the Kaleshwaram is a prestigious project for Telangana. It is dubbed as the world's largest multi-stage lift irrigation project as of now. Ahead of the general elections, the Project hit the headlines for the wrong reasons and the issue grabbed the attention of the national media as well.

The Lakshmi Barrage (Meddigadda) of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) sank a bit. It is said that on Saturday a loud sound was heard and later the incident made its way to the middle of the headlines.

The opposition parties started targeting the ruling party on this. The Congress party asked why the opposition party leaders were not allowed to visit the project to see what was happening. Why the media is also not allowed to report the situation, the party asked.

Amid this, a team led by National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) chairman Anil Jain examined the project. It is said that the six-member team inspected the project for around two hours from the 15th pillar to the 22nd pillar in the seventh block.

The team consists of directors S.K. Sharma, R. Thangamani Rahul K. Singh, Superintending engineer Devender Rao and others. Despite the team inspecting the structure, there is no clarity on what the team found. Now it is said that the team will submit its report soon to the Jal Shakti Ministry.

On the other hand, it is reported that the Telangana Government and the Multinational conglomerate company Larsen & Toubro launched a probe into this. The construction company which constructed the structure said that a team of experts is looking into the issue.
