Andhra Pradesh Local Polls: PK Holds Big Meeting With CBN!

A crucial meeting took place between chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and deputy CM Pawan Kalyan at the residence of CM Babu in Undavalli today. There is a lot more to it than what meets the eye with regard to this meeting.

The timing of this crucial encounter between the chief minister and the deputy CM and also IT minister Lokesh is very strategic here.

This meeting has happened right before the upcoming local body election in Andhra Pradesh, as the High Court has instructed the government and election commission to initiate the procedure within six weeks.

So this crucial coming together of the three main representatives of the NDA government will obviously be to dictate the proceedings. The obvious area of interest is the seat sharing for the local election that is coming up.

In terms of cadres and foundational strength, the TDP is magnanimously bigger than the other two parties in the alliance and that’s not even up for debate. So, the seat sharing also must be done correspondingly, and it would be a natural expectation to believe that TDP gets the lions share.

But it is going to be a principal challenge for Pawan Kalyan to convince the Janasena leadership and working cadres to convince them for the reasonable seats they’d be getting.

The BJP has anyway been silent on this matter, so they should be settling for whatever number of seats that they would be naturally getting.
