A couple of months back Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu was arrested and sent to jail. After spending close to two months he was granted an interim bail. Considering his health the Andhra Pradesh High Court gave him interim bail for four months as an eye surgery should be performed.
As he was out on interim bail the focus is now on the regular bail. The petition came up for hearing today and the issue took a key development. The High Court reserved its verdict in the case after hearing the arguments of both sides. The focus is now on the Court to know the verdict.
Senior Supreme Court lawyer Sidharth Luthra represented Chandrababu Naidu and placed arguments on his behalf. He said that false cases were filed and no persimmon was sought from the Governor for the arrest under Section 17 A but it was done. Talking about the case he said that it has been probed for the past few years but nothing has been proved yet.
AAG Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy who represented the CID countered the arguments and requested the High Court to not give bail to Chandrababu. Talking about the medical report he said that it might be a fabricated one. He said that many irregularities took place in the Skill Scam and through messages we found that money was sent to Hyderabad.
Both sides placed their intense arguments. After hearing arguments of both sides the High Court reserved its verdict. However, there is no clarity on when the verdict will be pronounced by the Court.
