This is his second term in the divided state and fourth one overall. The alliance recorded a massive win in the elections and TDP won over 130 seats alone and went past the magic figure comfortably.
Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony Chandrababu Naidu announced the cabinet list which looks interesting. Usually, seniors are preferred for Cabinet berths. But we can see the CBN mark clearly as fresh faces were given a chance. Pawan Kalyan is among the fresh faces in the cabinet.
Crucial aspects like community and regions were also considered in finalizing the names. In total 17 fresh faces were given a chance in the cabinet. This can be seen as a big elevation for their political future.
As many as eight BC leaders were given a chance in Cabinet followed by Kamma(4), Kapu(4), Reddy(3), SC(2), ST(1), Minority(1), and Vaishya(1). Out of them 10 were elected as MLA for the first time and three women were also given a chance.
If we look at the Cabinet from a regional point of view- East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Vizag, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Chittoor, Kadapa, Kurnool, Anantapur, Prakasam and Nellore districts were given prominence as leaders from the regions made it to the Cabinet.
In total TDP was allocated 21 berths, while Janasena and BJP were given three and one berths respectively. Janasena’s three berths include party chief Pawan Kalyan who is going to be the Deputy Chief Minister of the state.
