Did Chandrababu Cleared The Line For The YCP?

Was the line cleared for the YCP? TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu said that not even a small chance will be given to YCP in the next elections. Even the TDP activists believed this as true. They even hoped to see joinings in big numbers. Not just that, the youth who worked for the party in the four years would be given 33 percent of seats.

However, they were not given any chance in the joint list of candidates announced by TDP and Jana Sena. Forget about 33 percent, not even 10 percent of seats were allocated. The assurance of encouraging new blood in the party was also ignored. We are not seeing any new faces. Yanamala Ramakrishnudu’s daughter Divya was given the Tuni ticket. The family has been struggling with continuous defeats. But the TDP is in a situation where it cannot ignore Yanamala’s word.

Nimmakayala was given another chance in Peddapuram. Many say that if the ground reality was considered then the party might have ignored him in granting the ticket. In the last election, he barely managed to win the election. Madhavi Reddy was given a ticket in Kadapa. With this, the victory for YCP became one-sided. The minorities are in big numbers there and understanding this the YCP has been giving seats to minorities. But TDP failed to understand this.

Barring 10 out of the 94 constituencies from where the candidates are announced the candidates are Patha Kapus. It appears that Chandrababu is unable to find a cure to beat YCP and instead, he cleared the way for the party. When YCP announced the candidates list, many predicted that TDP would field strong candidates. It was predicted that BCs would be given a preference. But the reality was different.
