200 Cr At Stake: Chiru-Anil Must Deliver!

It is an established fact that megastar Chiranjeevi is one of the highest paid actors in the senior league of Tollywood. In the case of his upcoming film with Anil Ravipudi, it is expected that Chiranjeevi could be going for a substantial remuneration.

There are reports that Chiranjeevi could be drawing in the range of ₹75 crore remuneration for the film. If we add the share that is allocated to Gold Box Cinema that belongs to Chiru’s daughter Sushmitha, this figure goes up to 85 crore. Then we have the remuneration to be paid for Anil, which could be in the range of ₹25 crore.

Early in all the remunerations alone are in the vicinity of ₹110 crore for this film. When we need to add another ₹90 crore at least for production. Overall, the production works of this film alone will be costing. ₹200 crore.

However, there is one very interesting box office prospect that could work in favour of this film. Chiranjeevi has universal acceptance, and his films can generate absolutely mad revenues at the box office during the Sankranti season.

Adding to that, we have director Anil, who exhibited his connection with the family audience and masses with his latest film Sankranthi Ki Vasthunnam. The very combination of Chiranjeevi and Anil is enough to bring the family audience to theatres in big numbers next Sankranti season.

This will be the most lucrative project lined up for release next Sankranti season, and this will naturally attract more buyers and distributors, which is a good thing for the producer. Despite the fact that turned Rs 200 crore is at stake, there’s enough room for navigation in box office terms.

However, the aim for the film here will be that Anil and Chiru must deliver a stand out film that can perform even better than Sankranthi Ki Vasthunnam which had collected Rs 300 crore share. This is going to be the real challenge for this film now.

But we can expect Anil to make necessary changes in terms of production and scriptwriting in order to mitigate the possibility of trade disruption. He is a calculated director, and he will use the box office prospect of Chiranjeevi to the fullest.
