The Hyderabad-based All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is slowly expanding its reach from Telangana. It has representation in different states with the party candidates winning elections. AIMIM has footprints in a few states. The party often dubs itself as the strong voice of the minorities.

Be it party chief Asaduddin Owaisi or his brother Akbaruddin Owaisi, the party says the same. However such claims were rubbished by the newly elected Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

The Assembly sessions in Telangana were started on a heated note and the intensity is still continuing. In the Assembly hall, Akbaruddin Owaisi made some critical comments that the Congress party is trying to press the minority's voice.

In response, Revanth Reddy gave a logical response and said that he does not see Akbaruddin Owaisi as the representative of one community but as a representative of four crore people in the state of Telangana.

Giving a reason for this, Revanth Reddy said that Akbaruddin Owaisi did not win elections with just Muslim votes but Hindus also voted for him. The same applies to the other MLAs as well.

"Are you saying you won the elections in Chandrayangutta with just Muslim votes? No. Hindus also voted for you. This happened with the other MLAs as well. We are not seeing you as the representative of Muslims but the people of the state," Revanth Reddy said.

Revanth Reddy made these comments when Akbaruddin Owaisi tried to target the Chief Minister saying that he was with ABVP and RSS and then changed many parties. Revanth Reddy also did not stay silent and said MIM held good ties with various parties.
