Congress’s Interest Pick On Vizag MP Candidate!

The Congress party had a big legacy in the combined state and almost dominated the state until TDP was formed. It was in power in the state at the time of state bifurcation. But things changed for the party after the state was divided and it is struggling in the state.

As the elections were approaching Congress put a special focus on the state and YS Sharmila was made the state chief. Ahead of the elections, the Congress party announced the MP candidates. Out of all the seats, the Vizag seat is getting all the attention.

Congress made an interesting pick for the Vizag seat as a producer was selected. He is from the film industry and made a film on the Vizag Steel plant. He made many films as a producer in the industry.

Pulusu Satyanarayana Reddy who is popularly known as Satya Reddy is the Vizag Congress candidate. Vizag Steel plant has a lot of importance as we saw intense protests from the employees and others against the privatization.

With a producer who made a film on the Vizag Steel Plant named Ukku Satyagraham which highlighted the history of the plant and the protests to save it named as the candidate, we have to wait and see if it has any impact or not.

There is criticism that the parties in the state did not fight hard against the Vizag Steel plant. Sharmila has been saying the same and alleged that the parties are not ready to question the BJP and that only Congress can be the savior of the state.

Amid this Satya Reddy is announced as the Vizag MP Candidate. Now we have to wait and see if he can show any impact in the elections in Vizag seat by banking on the Steel plant issue.
