Congress Announces Another Scheme Aiming Women Community!

The Congress party is banking high on the success of recent Telangana elections. It added more josh to the cadre by winning Telangana after intensely fought Karnataka. By winning the two Southern states the Congress spread its wings making a statement that it is still strong.

If we look at both elections one thing is common which is the promises it made. Congress did magic with the schemes and won the elections. Not forgetting this the party is on a spree of implementing the schemes.

Telangana Congress already implemented a few schemes and it launched another scheme. Titled Nari Nyay Guarantee, it has five promises.

Under the Mahalakshmi scheme, women would be given one lakh rupees per year.

‘Shakti ka Samman’-Under the guarantee the amount that comes from the Centre towards the ASHA, Anganwadi, and mid-day meal workers will be doubled.

‘Adhikaar Maitri’- In every Panchayat Adhikaar Maitri will be appointed aiming to create awareness to women about their rights and offer the necessary help.

‘Savitri Bai Phule’ guarantee- Under this, the already existing working women’s hostels would be doubled and one hostel would be built in every district.

Aadhi Abadi-Pura Haq- Under the scheme, women would be given 50 percent reservations in the new recruitments of the Union Government.

These big promises were announced by the Congress ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. These schemes are aimed at women, one of the biggest vote banks in the state. In the general elections, the schemes helped the Congress and we have to see if this happens this time or not.
