Revanth Reddy who took over the TPCC Chief post when the Congress party was in trouble in the state pulled off a big stint. He was the main force behind the Congress party seeing a big win. His performance is compared to that of Trouble Shooter DK Shiva Kumar in Karnataka.
In a bid to acknowledge his hard work and results, the leadership gave him the Chief Minister post. Putting an end to the long wait, the leadership announced the TPCC Chief as the CM. With this, Revanth broke the trend that the TPCC Chief cannot become the Chief Minister.
As we have got clarity on the Chief Minister post, the focus went on to the Cabinet and who would be the Cabinet Ministers. Congress came to power after a long gap of ten years and a possible list was made reportedly looking at various aspects.
As per the Congress circles, the high command is preferring Padmavathi Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy's wife for the big position of Home Ministry. She is a woman and the party can have a chance to send a strong message that it is allotting big positions to women, unlike the previous BRS.
On the other hand, it is said that she might have been picked for the position to pacify Komatireddy Venkat Reddy who is said to be in the CM race and pinned high hopes on the big position.
The reports also say that Duddilla Sridhar Babu might get the IT portfolio given the expertise he has in the sector. It is said that he has a few IT companies and knows how the sector functions. Moreover, KTR left a strong impact in the sector and the Congress wants a person who can live up to the expectations.
Konda Surekha is likely to be picked up for the Depuy Chief Minister post in the state. A few other leaders are in the race to get the other key posts. However, an official confirmation on this is awaited.
