Congress vs. AAP On MLA's Arrest In Old Case!

It is known that the opposition parties in the country came under one roof and the alliance was named INDIA. The reason for doing this is to defeat the BJP. As the Lok Sabha elections will commence next year, the great alliance thinks it can pose a big fight for the mighty BJP.

However, AAP and Congress which are part of the INDIA block are facing issues. Earlier we have seen how the Congress party came down severely on Aam Aadmi Party when the party said it is focusing on contesting the Bihar polls alone. Now another row hit the block.

In sensational news, Congress MLA Sukhpal Khaira was arrested by the Punjab Police. In a case that goes back to 2015, he was arrested. It is said that the MLA was arrested after evidence was found.

As AAP is in power in Punjab the issue turned out to be a fight between Congress and AAP. The Punjab wing of the Congress party gave a harsh reaction to this and dubbed this as an effort to suppress the opposition.

MLA Sukhpal Khaira who was arrested on the charges of drug smuggling and money laundering made sensational claims that it would not be a wonder if he was assaulted.

However, AAP said that based on the new evidence found the MLA was arrested. The war of words between Congress and AAP might impact the INDIA block and the Lok Sabha elections are just a few months away.

Before the Lok Sabha polls, a few states will go for elections and before this, the crack in the alliance is not what the INDIA alliance wants to see.

Talking about the case, it was filed back in 2015 when an alleged drug racket was busted. The investigation also happened in the past. A few years after this, the MLA was arrested.
