They are not shying away from dealing with people who indulge in the activities with an iron fist.
As an example of how strong the agency is in taking strict measures, an NRI named Yesasvi was arrested at the Hyderabad airport. The NRI who is dubbed as the strong supporter of the opposition TDP reportedly made objectionable posts on CM Jagan.
Acting on the posts swiftly, he was arrested by the CID and he was served notices under 41A. He was released from custody and was directed to attend the questioning whenever he was asked to.
Now the NRI faced a big relief as the High Court issued directives to the CID officers to return the passport which was with the officers. He moved the High Court seeking the same directives and was given a big relief.
As his passport was with the officers he knocked on the doors of the High Court to get it back. Hearing the petition, the High Court issued directives to the agency to return the passport of the NRI.
Earlier last week, an NRI named Yesasvi Bodduluri was detained at Hyderabad airport by the CID. The officers arrested him for making objectionable comments on the Chief Minister. After questioning him, he was asked to appear before the office on the 11th of next month. Ahead of the questioning, he moved the Court.
