Court Makes Strong Comments On Bulldozer Action!

The Bulldozer style is quite famous in the current political picture under which illegal structures and properties of people who damage public property are demolished. It was started in Uttar Pradesh by firebrand leader Yogi Adityanath. Later the style spread to a few BJP-ruled states as well.

The popularity of the trend is that even a few Civic bodies followed it by demolishing a few properties. Now the Court made some critical comments on the trend and said that it had become a fashion to demolish the properties.

Two petitions were filed with the Madhya Pradesh High Court, including a petition filed by a person's wife whose house was demolished. Reacting to this, the Court asked why the guidelines were not followed while demolishing the property.

A person named Rahul Langri is accused of attacking a person over a property. With this, the victim committed suicide and Rahul was arrested. Later his house was demolished. This prompted his wife to move the Court.

Earlier the Court gave orders directing the district administration to pay R 1 lakh each to the two petitioners as compensation. Now the Court made some crucial comments and said that it has become a fashion to demolish the properties.

Adding further, the Court observed that it would have been appropriate had the Municipal authorities directed them to regularize the properties instead of demolishing them. On the occasion, the Court also said that disciplinary action should be taken against the officers responsible for this. Now the Court's comments became the talk of the town.
