Indian fans' worst nightmare came true in the World Cup Final played yesterday. Team India led by Rohit Sharma which remained unbeaten throughout the tournament lost the finals and saw Australia lift the trophy. In front of over one lakh fans Australia won the trophy, the sixth title for the team.

India got the required start to the innings. Despite this India failed to put up a big score on the board. Indian bowlers gave the breakthrough by taking three early wickets. But they could not continue the momentum. On a dry pitch where Indian batsmen struggled to score runs Australian batsmen scored big runs and won the match.

But the critics say that most of the 2023 Players would not play in the next World Cup. Most of the players are over 35 and it is next to impossible for them to play for four more years.

Rohit Sharma: The Indian skipper who guided his team to the Asia Cup title is 36 years now. We cannot expect him to be fit enough to play the next World Cup which is four years away from now. He might not play in the next edition of the World Cup.

Mohammed Shami: The ace pacer who gave India the required breakthroughs in the World Cup is 33 years old now. Though he is among the fittest players we cannot expect him to be fit enough for the 2047 Edition of World Cup.

Ravichandran Ashwin: The ace spinner is already 37 years old and he is not playing continuously for the team. He is picked in the team now and then. It was a miracle that he was selected for the previous T20 World Cup event. For the next event, he will turn 41. So this might be the last WC for the player.

Ravindra Jadeja: The same is the case with the ace all-rounder who is 34 now. He is very fast on the field as a player. But he is facing criticism that it's been a long time since he played a valuable innings with a bat for the team. So we might not see him in the next World Cup.

Virat Kohli: Run Machine is one of the fittest players right now. Given his fitness, he might play in the next World Cup but we cannot guarantee this. So this might be his last World Cup.

Other players might have played their last World Cup like Mohammad Nabi(38), David Warner(34), Steve Smith(34), Glenn Maxwell(34), Marcus Stoinis(34), Mitchell Starc(33), Kane Williamson(33), Trent Boult(34), Tim Southee(34), Shakib Al Hasan(36), Mushfiqur Rahim(36), Dawid Malan(36), Moeen Ali(36), Chris Woakes(36), Adil Rashid and others. Watching the next World Cup will not be the same for the fans.
