Daggubati Venkateswara Rao's Honest Take On Current Politics!

Daggubati Venkateswara Rao is one of the senior politicians we have. He served as the Minister in the past. After his stint with the Congress, the NTR’s son-in-law joined the YCP and has been in the party for a few years. He even contested the 2019 general elections from the Parchuru Assembly constituency. However, he lost the elections.

Now the former Minister made some interesting comments on the current politics and said that those who don't get the tickets are lucky. I consider the candidates who won't get the tickets as MLAs and MPs are lucky people, he said.

Adding further Rao opined that the situation had become such that candidates have to spend crores of rupees in elections and despite doing this they could not serve the people. This is the current situation in politics, he said.

Elaborating further Daggubati Venkateswara Rao opined that the heads of the political parties are creating a situation in which the MLAs and MPs are not getting space to serve the people.

Talking about the expenditure in politics, Daggubati Venkateswara Rao said that the costs have increased massively and that the candidates are not able to bear them. Even if they manage to put in the big money, they could not serve the people, he added.

He made these comments weeks after thanking the people in the Parchuru seat from where he contested for not electing him. Giving a reason he said that the ex-Minister said that the MLAs are not able to develop the regions even lay a road. For the past few years they have been unable to do anything and the same would have been the case with me, he maintained.
