Data Says The Cyber Crimes Increased Massively In Hyderabad

The rise in the usage of technology comes with more chances of Cybercrimes and attacks. With the emergence of technology, we are seeing a big rise in such incidents. Fraudsters are exploring new ways to scam people and loot the money in their accounts which is concerning.

To give an example of the seriousness of the trend, a few cities in the country recorded the highest number of incidents as per the data. Telangana's capital city Hyderabad saw a big rise in such incidents and it is next to the financial capital of the country Mumbai.

The data shared by the National Crime Records Bureau(NCRB) says that cyber crimes have increased in the city. Compared to 2021 and 2022 the incidents increased massively which is concerning.

The data says that in 2021 Hyderabad recorded 10,303 cases and in 2022 the incidents increased to 15,297. There is a big rise and more than 5,000 cases increased in the city and Hyderabad is only next to Mumbai.

On the other hand, the cases of SC/ST atrocities, attacks on women, kidnap, and financial crimes also increased in the city. The data was prepared after examining the data in 12 States and Union Territories.

Looking at the ranking of various states, Delhi saw the highest rise in such incidents followed by Haryana, Telangana, Rajasthan, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, and West Bengal.
