Data Says Telugu Speaking Population Increased Massively In US!

The United States has become a dream destination for Indians. Of late the trend has picked up and we are seeing more and more people reaching there. With each passing year, the numbers are increasing massively. This in turn resulted in the growth of Indian languages.

In particular Telugu language has picked up and the Telugu population is on the rise. Compared to 2016, the Telugu population increased by multiple folds and reached a few million.

As per the information, the Telugu-speaking population reached 1.23 million in 2024 compared to 3,20,000 in 2016. In less than a decade the numbers picked up. Thousands of people land in the United States every year and this played a key role in the rise of population.

Including students and Visa Holders around 70,000 people land in the US every year as per the observations. This led to an increase in the population. Among the Indian languages, Telugu is in third place.

Hindi is the top place followed by Gujarati. Telugu is in third place among the Indian languages. Among the languages that are largely spoken in the country Telugu stood at the 11th post.

The population includes students and employees who go there and people who are settled there. The third or fourth generation of Telugu families in the United States are also included in the population.

The rise of the Telugu population is such that we can see Telugites in states like California, Texas, New Jersey, and others. In total, the Telugu population had increased by multiple folds.
