Australia’s run in the ongoing World Cup came to an end. Two back-to-back defeats made it tough for the team and it had to depend on other teams. No matter what it was knocked out of the league. Australian fans faced another shock as a veteran player bid his goodbye.

Left-handed batsman David Warner who was part of many memorable wins for Australia bid goodbye to the T20s. ICC said David Warner had stepped down from the game. Former Australian skipper Ricky Pointing said Warner’s impact on the game was such that it is difficult to find a player like him.
