Breaking: Jantar Mantar Is Not Protest Site Anymore!

One of the most interesting decisions with regard to the law and order enforcement in India has been taken today by the Delhi Police department. This decision is regarding the famous Jantarmantar region in the city.

This famous Jantar Mantar region at historically, held some of the most significant protests and public movements in the last century in India. The wide range of protests that were held here, include the freedom struggle, and the subsequent constitutional issues as well.

Recently, it was the case of the demand by the cockroach janta party for the resignation of education minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, that was very successful here. Now they are back on the job by demanding the resignation of chief election commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar in view of the allegations against him.

Just when the protest was about to intensify and a big fight was starting to break out, the Delhi Police have made a pretty big announcement today.

The Delhi Police has denotified Jantar Mantar as a designated site for protests and named three new spots for holding such demonstrations.

Delhi Commissioner Anurag Kumar issued the standing order on October 11, naming Ramlila Maidan, Burari Ground and CBD Ground in east Delhi as the new designated sites for protests.

This was followed by a pretty strong comment from the President of the cockroach janta party, Abhijeet Dipke. He wrote “Today, Modi denotified Jantar Mantar as a designated protest site. Tomorrow, he will denotify democracy itself. The dictator’s problem was never the protest site. It was the very idea of people protesting.”
