However, Trump appears to be least bothered about the situation, despite the opposition that he is facing from global countries, including China.

At a recent fundraising gala for House Republicans, former U.S. President Donald Trump made headlines with a bold statement about global leaders’ reactions to his aggressive trade policies. Referring to the newly imposed 104% tariff on Chinese goods, Trump claimed that foreign leaders were now scrambling to negotiate with the United States.

He described the situation in typical Trump fashion, saying, “These countries are calling us up, kissing my a**,” implying that nations are desperate to strike favorable deals under pressure from the U.S.

The move comes after China refused to remove its 34% retaliatory tariffs on American goods, prompting Trump to respond with what he described as a strong negotiating tactic. He believes the steep tariff hike gives the U.S. a significant upper hand in trade talks.
