Donald Trump, who served as the President of the United States is gearing up to contest the upcoming Presidential elections as well. While he is busy making steps in this regard, he has been facing some severe setbacks. Now he faced a big blow that made him hit the headlines for the wrong reason.

Media reports say that he was arrested on Thursday evening and was sent to the Atlanta jail. In connection with the charges he was facing, the arrest is said to have happened. However, his arrest was a brief one as he was granted bail.

It is known that the 77-year-old ex-president is facing many charges for reportedly trying to overturn the election result. A court directed him to surrender and set a deadline for this. Following this, he surrendered. But it is said that surrendering in such cases is also seen as arrest.

After he surrendered, the concerned authorities sent him to the Atlanta Jail. However, his stay at the jail was a short one as he was allowed to walk out. Reports say that Donald Trump was allowed to walk out after he agreed to the bail conditions and pay a bond of $2,00,000.

After spending 20 minutes in the prison, he walked out. This reportedly makes him the first US President to get arrested. The Mug Shot, which is a picture of the inmates as per the procedures was also taken of the ex-President. After his arrest, he was also given a number.

It is known that Donald Trump lost the previous elections to Joe Biden. Donald Trump is accused of conspiracy to overturn the decision and an election officer is also facing the charges. A few officials are also facing allegations in this old case and the court recently gave orders that they should surrender before the court. It is said that he is facing as many as 13 felony counts in the ongoing case.

Friday is the deadline that was fixed by the Court. However, the former President of the United States surrendered before the court on Thursday, a day before the deadline.
