The victim’s father, Venkatesh, spoke about the incident and expressed his pain over the way the matter is being discussed in public.
In the video, Venkatesh said that his family is already going through a very difficult time after losing their daughter. He requested everyone to understand the family’s pain and avoid making political statements about the tragedy.
The father also said that the government and police have been looking into the incident. He reportedly appealed to people to allow the investigation to continue and to wait for the facts to come out.
The issue has attracted attention after questions were raised about the circumstances surrounding the incident. Political leaders and different groups have been making statements about the case. The family, however, appears to be asking everyone to focus on the truth rather than turning the tragedy into a political issue.
Venkatesh’s emotional appeal has also drawn attention on social media. In the video, he can be seen speaking with folded hands while making his request. According to Venkatesh, the accused were allegedly driving the car under the influence of alcohol. He further alleged that the car deliberately hit Priyanka’s scooty three times on August 3. He said the incident was not a simple road accident and requested the police to treat the case seriously.
Venkatesh said doctors informed him that Priyanka suffered critical injuries after the car ran over her head. She was later taken to KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad, where doctors declared her brain dead. She eventually died due to her injuries. Venkatesh said he has faith in Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Minister Nara Lokesh.
The case has attracted attention in Andhra Pradesh, with Priyanka’s family and others demanding strict punishment. The allegations made by the family will be subject to the police investigation and legal process.
