Wife To Contest As Independent Candidate Against Husband!

Poll-bound Andhra Pradesh went into the election mode. The D-date for the elections is fast approaching and the political picture is getting interesting day by day. As the nomination process has started we are seeing interesting scenes. The rebels are turning out to be a surprise element.

In a crucial seat, we would see an interesting fight between a wife and husband. A ruling party candidate’s wife said that she would try her luck as the independent candidate in the upcoming elections. It is common for the aspirants who lost seats to contest as rebel leaders.

Duvvada Srinivas is the Tekkali Assembly seat candidate of the ruling YSRCP. Srinivas is expected to file his nomination today. Giving a big twist his wife might contest the upcoming elections as the independent candidate. Addressing her followers she said that she will file the nomination as an independent candidate.

YSRCP Tekkali MLA candidate Duvvada Srinivas’s wife Vani who is a ZPTC member reportedly told her supporters that she will file the notification as the independent candidate. There is no official confirmation on the reasons behind this.

However, the media reports say that Vani pinned high hopes on the ticket for the elections. But her husband was given the ticket and he is busy campaigning for the elections. But her decision came as a big twist.

This made the Tekkali seat an interesting constituency to see what happens. Probably this is the first time a wife and husband are going to be political opponents. While the husband is a ruling party candidate, the wife is an independent candidate.
