It is already known that Indian petroleum ministry has mandate the blending of ethanol in petrol across all stations in the country. Despite the severe public backlash that is coming up against this, the government is consistent on their approach, which is a bit strange.

Now there is an expansive report coming out regarding the kind of effects that the E 20 petrol can have on older vehicles, which are not compatible with this fuel variant.

According to an analysis of servicing data from over 15 million vehicles which were more than 3 years old and not E20 certified, they yielded zero evidence of engine damage, wear and tear, or abnormal friction caused by E20.

Not only that, data from Hero MotoCorp highlights the exact same truth as it means E20 is not the result of mere speculation. It reached the people of the country only after extensive testing, rigorous verification, and scientific evaluation. E20 is not just a fuel.

However, this is just one side of the story, which is being primarily carried by the government of India. So we have to patiently wait and see what would be the actual outcome when it comes to the wider spectrum analysis that could be performed on vehicles.

Previously, there were extensive reports that the usage of this variant of petrol could lead to significant drop in mileage and also possible wear and tear in vehicles.

However, the information from the government authorities is very clear on this matter as they are projecting that there would be no significant damaged to the vehicle as such.
