It is already known that several leading Indian politicians, including YS Jagan and Rahul Gandhi have been repeatedly complaining against the Election commission for the questionable practices.

The primary allegation here is that the election commission is not holding the electoral roll in a fair manner. There are several complaints against the functioning of EVM and also the water list that has been imposed in the recent election.

Finally, the EC reacted to the same today, but the reaction has not been comprehensive or assertive enough to address the kind of complaints that have been coming up in the recent past.

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar addressed concerns about voter privacy and allegations of electoral fraud, specifically responding to claims made by political figures like Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal about irregularities in voter lists and election processes.

Kumar's statement highlights the ethical dilemma of sharing CCTV footage from polling stations, arguing that it could infringe on voters' privacy, especially when such footage is used to make allegations without the voters' consent, as seen in recent media presentations.

This response comes in the context of heightened scrutiny on the Election Commission of India (ECI) following accusations of voter list manipulation and procedural lapses, with the ECI defending its processes by emphasizing the importance of timely objections during the claims and objections period, as stated in a previous post by ANI.
