EC Announces Vote From Home For Senior Citizens!

The Election Commission swung into action to make the required arrangements. A few review meetings were also held. Telangana is also among the poll-bound states.
As Telangana will go to the polls soon, a team of election commission led by Rajiv Kumar, Chief Election Commissioner of India came to the state. The meeting was concluded recently. A press meet was held in which Rajiv Kumar and others took part.
Addressing the media, the EC Chief announced big news that votes can be polled from the house. Senior citizens can use this facility to cast vote from their house. This is the first time that such a facility was brought to the people.
Senior Citizens who cannot come to the pooling booths and handicapped people can use the facility. The Chief Election Commissioner of India said that they could use the facility and for the first time, the facility was brought into the country. However, a special request should be made for this. If they are interested in coming to the booths then special arrangements will be made.
Talking about the votes in the state, Rajiv Kumar said that 3.17 crore votes and young voters are more than eight lakhs. On the other hand, the Chief Election Commissioner of India said that supply of money and liquor is strictly prohibited and a tab will be kept on this.
