The much-talked-about Delhi Liquor Scam which has been a sensation for some time saw some tense scenes. A team of ED officials landed in Hyderabad and conducted raids. After the raids, the former Chief Minister’s daughter was taken into custody and the development added more intensity to the case.

Former Telangana CM KCR’s Daughter Kavitha’s name has been popping up in the case regularly. Earlier she was named the accused in the case. But the case saw a big development after she was taken into custody and was shifted to the national capital Delhi.

After her arrest, there are many doubts on what happened in the case and what made the agency arrest her. Putting all these doubts to rest, the ED released a sensational release on the case listing out what had happened.

The ED said that the investigation found Kavitha and others conspired with the bigwigs in the AAP to get favours in the Delhi Scam. To get these favours Rs 100 crores were paid and Kavitha is involved in this. Having said that, the agency said further investing is underway.

Listing out what had happened in the case so far, ED said that the raids were conducted in 245 places including Delhi, Hyderabad, and other places. 15 people were arrested in the case including Kavitha. So far Rs 128.79 cr was seized in the case by the agency.

But what caught everyone’s attention is that the ED said while conducting raids at Kavitha’s house, her associates obstructed the ED officials.

“In exchange for these favours K Kavitha allegedly paid Rs 100 crore to the AAP leaders, the probe agency said. Illegal funds, in the form of kickbacks from wholesalers, were generated for the AAP by acts of corruption and conspiracy the ED alleged,” ED said in the press release.
