Whenever they are stopped by the traffic police, first the two documents are asked and then other documents like Insurance and Pollution checks are asked. Those who drive vehicles are expected to carry the documents.
Now the Andhra Pradesh government came up with a piece of good news and said that the concept of carrying RC and licence would be ended soon. E-license and E-RCs would come into effect in the state and commuters need not carry RCs and licences with them like before.
From the dedicated website, they can either take a printout of the documents or show the soft copies when the cops ask for them. They can simply open the apps and download the documents. This decision has two benefits.
One is that they would get relief from carrying all the required documents with them. They can simply download the e-copies or take printouts of the documents. The second benefit is that they need not pay the amounts they used to do to get the delivery of the cards.
Earlier, people used to pay a certain amount to get a Driving licence and RCs of vehicles. To change this, the government came up with the idea to have Electronic versions of the documents.
Using electronic documents with the emergence of the latest technology is the trend and a few states have already started using this. Andhra Pradesh also decided to make the best of the technology and start issuing e-documents.
With the new decision, commuters need not worry if they forget to carry the documents with them. They can simply open the app and show the documents. This will benefit the commuters in a big way.
