Elon Musk is a man of surprises. It's hard to predict his next move. His expertise is not limited to any field. In one such surprise, the World’s Richest man Elon Musk purchased social media giant Twitter. After taking the social media platform into his own hands, he has been making several changes.

He already changed the name of the platform from Twitter to X. Now, Elon Musk has come up with another sensation. He is claiming that an in-app calling feature will be added to the platform and that people will be able to make audio and video calls from the platform.

The options will have compatibility with Android and iOS versions. People either use Android or Apple. As audio and video calls will be available in both versions we can say that the options will be available for one and all.

Not just that, the desktop version will also be brought which supports PC and Mac. The specialty of the option is that users need not require any phone number to make audio and video calls. None other than Elon Musk announced this.

"Video & audio calls coming to X: - Works on iOS, Android, Mac & PC - No phone number needed - X is the effective global address book That set of factors is unique," Elon Musk said on X platform.

However, there are a few doubts here. There is no clarity on whether the options will be made available for all the users or will be restricted to just Bluetick users. It is known that blue tick users are getting more options than normal users. So we need some clarity here.

For some time, we have been hearing a lot that Elon Musk wants to make X a better platform and pose a big competition for others. A few reports say that X might be an alternative to WhatsApp. Adding fuel to this, Elon Musk came up with new options.
