How ED Is Functioning Under Modi Compared To Manmohan Singh?

After the BJP came to power at the Centre a popular opinion started that the central agencies are being misused and they target only the opposition. There is also a criticism that those who join the BJP will be saved. Of late the opposition parties have been saying that the ruling party is unleashing the agencies at them.
Adding fuel to this the data says that the ED raids increased massively in the past ten years. If we draw a comparison between the NDA and UPA governments there is a difference in the number of raids the central agency conducted.
Even the number of raids the ED conducted increased. Compared to the UPA, the ED conducted more raids and confiscated assets worth a lot.There is no comparison in the number of cases filed in both governments.
As per the information, under the UPA government when Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister 1,797 cases were filed and just 84 raids were conducted. Talking about the arrests only 29 arrests were made and assets worth Rs 5,086.43 crores were confiscated.
When we look at how ED is functioning under the NDA, there was a big jump in everything. 5,155 cases were filed and 7,264 raids were conducted in ten years. After Modi became the Prime Minister, 755 people were arrested and assets worth Rs 1,21,618 crores were confiscated. Even the charge sheets filed also increased with 1281.
ED created a sensation recently by arresting a former Chief Minister’s daughter and a sitting CM. Kavitha and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal were arrested by the ED in connection with the liquor scam.
If we draw a comparison in both governments there is a massive jump in everything be it the arrests made or the raids the ED conducted or the cases that were registered. Chargesheets filed and the assets confiscated also increased.
While the opposition parties and critics are alleging that the Central agencies are being misused and they are unleashed at the opposition, the ruling party leaders are saying that the agencies are just doing their work.
