Fake Call Centre Troubling US Citizens Busted In Hyd!

Fraudsters are now cheating people in the name of call centers by running fake ones. They call the victims and introduce themselves as the executive of the e-commerce company.

The fake call centres are giving sleepless nights to people living in the United States. Now they have a big relief as a gang that runs a fake international call center and has been scamming Americans was busted in Hyderabad.

The Cyberbad Police received a piece of credible information about a gang that is running a fake international call center. A raid was called and the gang was busted. The fraudsters are arrested by the cops and a few devices that have the personal information of citizens were also seized.

Upon investigation further, the cops found sensational details about the gang and how the gang members operate. They have the data of citizens of Canada and the United States. They call them and introduce themselves as the executives of the e-commerce companies.

The fraudsters inculcate fear in the minds of the victims saying that they received a suspicious package and they have to pay a certain amount to remove the package from their names. Using fear, they are earning thousands of dollars.

After gaining the trust of the callers, they ask them to buy coupons and vouchers. The money they get is invested in cryptocurrency and then the money is credited into the accounts. The gang is said to be operational for the past two years and they have cheated victims in big numbers.

The gang was busted by the Cyberabad Police and more than 100 people were arrested. The arrested people include Ansari, who is said to be the kingpin in the gang. The raids and arrests happened under the guidance of Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Stephen Raveendra. As the Gang was busted and the members were arrested the US citizens and Canada Citizens can have a breather.
