After two years of aggressive battle, we as a world have managed to put an end to the seriousness of the Covid pandemic. We went through a tough time during the period. Crores of people came in contact with the virus and lakhs of people passed away with the contagious virus. Experts say that we have not seen such a pandemic in recent times.

But it appears that we will not get relief from the virus anytime soon. An elderly man from the United States breathed his life with a brain condition that is related to the Covid outbreak. This raised many fears and concerns yet again.

Going into details, an elderly man from the United States who has been suffering from symptoms like diffuse bradykinesia, drooling, dementia, and an inability to walk and others visited the Mount Sinai Queens Hospital Center in New York. It is said that the MRI tests performed on him did not give any info on the condition.

The team of doctors advised the CSF protein 14-3-3 test (COVID-19 test). The results surprised everyone as the patient tested positive. His health condition kept on deteriorating and he breathed his last while battling the condition.

Media reports say that a medical study was published in the American Journal of Case Reports which allegedly sheds light on the link between COVID-19 and neurodegenerative conditions of the patients.

After the Covid pandemic, many experts said that even after the condition is cured a few after-effects will trouble the patients and we have seen such cases earlier. Now it is the turn of prion diseases and they are also called transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSEs).

Prion diseases are said to be very dangerous and progress rapidly. As the condition is related to the brain which is a vital part of the human body, experts are worried and have their concerns on this.

It is said that Prion diseases affect both humans and animals and the disorder often leads to neuronal loss. As the condition is not understood completely it makes risky and scary. Following this, the concerned experts are digging deeper to probe the possible link between the brain diseases post-COVID impact.

Earlier medical experts found symptoms like headache, sleep problems, dizziness, and depression or anxiety as the long-term COVID-19 effects on those who contracted the virus. Now the new doubts were raised.
