What Madness: India To US Flight Rates Massively Increased!

Starting from September 21, the United States government will be imposing a new regulation with regard to the H1B visa policy. This comes shortly after the President of United States, Donald Trump communicated that the new H1B policy will include an upfront fee of 100K dollars.

In this context, all the leading private companies in the United States have been instructing their employees to return to the United States effectively immediately.

While the regulation makes it very clear that those who already have a valid H1B visa need not pay any upfront fee. Anyone who is pending for stamp will have to pay 100K dollars upon arrival in the country.

Subsequently, there is mad rush from the Indian Community to rush to the United States on priority with several H1B visa, aspirin returning on emergency basis. As a result, all the flights from India to the United States are witnessing massive crowds, and as a result, the ticket prices have also gone up steeply.

A flight ticket to the United States that generally costs in the range of ₹50,000 under normal circumstances is now trending at around ₹1,10,000, which is a significant upswing from the standard prices.

There is a lot of rush happening amongst the Indian community that is aspiring to get back to the United States and this is resulting in largely elevated ticket prices. There are also reports that the airport and flights from the Indian subcontinent to the United States are replicating Indian trains as they are loaded with Indian H1B visa aspirants.
