Global business leaders and budding entrepreneurs have been expanding their wealth through innovative strategies. According to Forbes, the number of billionaires worldwide is expected to reach 3,028 by 2025, with their combined wealth valued at $16.1 trillion. This growth highlights the increasing financial prowess of these individuals.

Elon Musk remains the world's richest person, as per Forbes' July 2025 report. However, his wealth has decreased by $16 billion since June, now standing at $407 billion (approximately ₹34.6 lakh crore). Musk has maintained his top position since surpassing the $400 billion milestone in May 2024.

Shifts Among Top Billionaires

Larry Ellison, co-founder of Oracle, has climbed from fourth to second place. Oracle's shares surged by 32% since June, adding $56 billion to Ellison's fortune. Meanwhile, Jensen Huang, CEO and co-founder of Nvidia, saw his wealth increase by $20 billion, moving him from 11th to 10th place among the world's richest.

The collective wealth of the top ten billionaires increased by $100 billion compared to June 1st, reaching a total of $2 trillion. Except for Bernard Arnault from France, all other top ten billionaires are Americans.

Bill Gates Exits Top Ten

Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, is no longer in the top ten list due to a nearly 30% drop in his wealth within seven days. His fortune now stands at $124 billion after losing $52 billion. Gates plans to donate most of his wealth through the Gates Foundation over the next two decades.

Mukesh Ambani ranks 15th globally with a fortune close to $116 billion. He is the only Asian in the exclusive club of those with over $100 billion (around ₹8.85 lakh crore).

The shifting dynamics among these wealthy individuals reflect broader economic trends and personal decisions impacting their fortunes.
