The D-day had finally arrived and the BRS leadership announced the candidates for the upcoming general elections. For the past few weeks, we have been hearing a lot that the BRS leadership would announce the candidates' list. Making the reports true, the list of candidates was announced just a while ago.

BRS announced the candidates for all 119 Assembly seats in the state. However, four sitting MLAs faced a big blow and lost their tickets. The leadership did not give a chance to the sitting MLAs and they might have not predicted this.

Station Ghanpur MLA Tatikonda Rajaiah, Uppal MLA Bethi Subhas Reddy, Wyra MLA Ramulu Nayak, and Asifabad MLA Athram Sakku were left out and others were given tickets. This development caught everyone's attention.

It is known that Station Ghanpur MLA Tatikonda Rajaiah and Kadiyam Srihari have been having issues and the fight even went to the notice of the party leadership. On many occasions, Tatikonda Rajaiah said that he would get the ticket and urged everyone to not believe any rumors. But he faced a big blow and Kadiyam Srihari was given a ticket.

The same is the case with Bethi Subhas Reddy. He had issues with GHMC mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi and the issue grabbed everyone's attention. The issue popped up when the followers of MLA objected to the foundation stone laying ceremony without inviting him. The incident became a big topic then. Maybe this might be the reason behind this.

Wyra MLA Ramulu Nayak won the elections as an Independent candidate. However, he joined the ruling party. Of late, he has been making controversial comments and this might have been a reason for this. In his place, Bandaru Lakshma Reddy was given a ticket.

Asifabad MLA Athram Sakku is the fourth candidate to miss the ticket. He has been facing strong opposition from the local leaders in Asifabad and last year, as many as 18 sarpanches quit from their posts in protest against Asifabad MLA. These factors might have led to the sitting MLA losing his ticket. The party leadership picked Kova Laxmi as the candidate for the Asifabad Assembly seat.
