ISRO’s mission failed at the last moment with Chandrayaan-2. This forced the Indian Space Agency to be extra careful and take more precautions. All this paid off with ISRO’s spacecraft Chandrayaan-3 having a successful landing on the lunar surface. With this, India joined the list of nations with lunar missions and the first nation to land on the South Pole.

Chandrayaan-3 detected a few elements on the moon's surface. Now the new achievement of Chandrayaan-3 made ISRO believe that this is a big step in future human missions. It is known that Chandrayaan-3 landed on the surface earlier last month.

Now the spacecraft passed the hop test. The Vikram Lander made a soft landing on the moon’s surface again. Having received the commands, the lander started its engines and went up by around 40 cm. After the elevation, it landed successfully 30 to 40 cm away from the place where it hopped.

Taking to Twitter which is X now, ISRO said that Chandrayaan-3 making a soft landing again is a kick-start for the sample return and human missions in the future. The Space Agency also shared a video and said that the second landing was an experiment.

"Vikram soft-landed on the moon, again! Vikram Lander exceeded its mission objectives. It successfully underwent a hop experiment. On command, it fired the engines, elevated itself by about 40 cm as expected, and landed safely at a distance of 30-40 cm away," ISRO’s post reads.

ISRO already made the world look at it with its Chandrayaan-3 mission. On top of this, it recently started its first solar mission which aims at studying the sun. Now the agency is talking about possible human missions in the future. Given the success rate of ISRO, it might not be an issue. Let us hope for the best.
