It is already known that the prestigious announcement from the Telangana government regarding the presentation of Gaddar Award is a topic of discussion. Chief minister Revanth Reddy had confirmed that the award presentation ceremony will be happening this June and now we have an interesting update on this.

If we dig deep into this story, back in 2013, the last Andhra Pradesh State Film Awards ceremony held in Hyderabad honored films released in 2011. Sri Rama Rajyam was awarded Best Film, with the producer receiving ₹75,000 and the director ₹30,000.

However, the recently launched Gaddar Telangana Film Awards have significantly raised the bar, granting ₹10 lakh to the Best Film’s producer and ₹7 lakh to the director.

This marks a notable enhancement in the prestige and recognition of the awards. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expressed his commitment to elevating these awards to be on par with or even surpass the National Film Awards in terms of monetary rewards and stature.

The upcoming awards ceremony, which will honor films released during the 2024 calendar year, is scheduled to take place in a grand manner on June 14 at HICC, Hyderabad. This initiative reflects the state’s growing support and encouragement for its film industry.

While the previous cash reward for the prestigious Nandi award ₹75,000. The situation is completely different now under the Revanth Reddy government. The reward is much bigger now, and it is evident that the chief minister is going out with the same.
