Galla Jayadev, one of the three MPs who won the 2019 elections on the TDP ticket opted to not contest the upcoming elections to focus on the business. The two-time MP from Guntur hails from a political family. His mother was an MLA and Cabinet Minister too.
As the MP will not face the elections, he gave a last speech in the Parliament. In the Lok Sabha, he gave a last speech in the house. His comments on making a possible return to politics grabbed everyone's attention. He said that like how Lord Rama returned after the Vanvas, he would return.
In his speech, Galla Jayadev spoke about his family and the business his family runs. He also said that thousands of people are provided employment. The MP also said that he comes from a family of freedom fighters.
The sitting MP said that he decided to not face the next elections as he cannot sail in two boats at a time. He thanked the TDP leadership and leaders who helped him.
Galla Jayadev highlighted the role played by businessmen in democracy as some of them are even elected as representatives. The sitting MP said that the harassment against the businessmen should be stopped and the political vendettas towards businessmen should be ended.
Despite announcing retirement from politics, the MP said that he would contribute to the development of the state and the country and he will continue to do what he could in his capacity in this regard.
Saying that this is the last speech in the Lok Sabha, Galla Jayadev said that he wants to thank TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu for the support and also shared a special thought for the people in Guntur who gave him the opportunity.
