Being some of the most richest man on the planet comes with its own set of advantages, as you can easily migrate from one country to another. In this context, here is a look at the kind of global migration trends that were observed in the case of millionaires across the globe.

The Henley Private Wealth Migration Report 2025 reveals a record-breaking shift in global millionaire migration. In 2025, an estimated 142,000 millionaires are expected to relocate to new countries, surpassing 2024’s total of 134,000. This number is projected to rise even further to 165,000 by 2026, marking the biggest wave of private wealth migration in history.

The United Kingdom is projected to experience the largest net outflow of high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), with 16,500 millionaires set to leave the country in 2025. This group collectively controls around US $91.8 billion in investable wealth.

The UK’s outflow is more than double that of China, which is expected to see a loss of 7,800 millionaires. This also marks the largest-ever millionaire exodus recorded from a single country since Henley & Partners began tracking such data.

Other European nations are also experiencing declines. France is set to lose 800 millionaires, and Spain 500, showing a broader trend of wealthy individuals exiting parts of Western Europe.

This report highlights how geopolitical, economic, and tax-related factors are influencing global wealth migration patterns, with increasing numbers of the ultra-rich seeking stable, low-tax environments with greater personal and financial security.
