We have been hearing a lot that hail showers are happening in many regions due to the earth's heat. Amid this, scientists are warning that the earth's heat is at record level and the situation would be even more alarming in the coming days.
The scientists are saying that hot weather was recorded in the past two to three weeks which was not seen in one lakh years. The report was prepared by examining the air temperatures in the world. On the 23rd of July this year, 16.95 degree Celsius was recorded on average. This is higher than average which was recorded in 2019 with 16.99 degrees.
With this, many scientists at the Copernicus Institute are saying that this month is the hottest in the past 1,20,000 years. At the same time, its Deputy Director Samantha Burgess is saying that these are the hottest temperatures in human history. The data is believed to have been gathered since 1940.
There was a hot summer in June this year. The highest average temperature was recorded on the 6th of this month. The global average was 17.08 degrees Celsius. This is the highest in history. The highest temperatures were recorded in the first seven months of this year.
Before that, the heat on the sea surface was recorded at an unusual level in May this year. Scientist Kim Cobb from Brown University said that there is a threat of even higher temperatures getting recorded in the future. Interestingly the experts said that this might be seen as the coldest year compared to the upcoming century.
At the same time, UN Chief Antonio Guterres observed that we are done with the era of global warming, and the era of global bowling was started.
