Betting App In Name Of Lord Govinda, Lokesh Reacts

It is already known that there is a widespread outrage against this betting culture and illegal batting applications. These batting applications and platforms are ruining the lives of many people by pushing them into extreme losses. We are hearing several cases of suicides in this connection.

The matter has now reached such a pinnacle point that these platforms are using god’s names to push their promotions. There is one such application in the name of Lord Govinda. This is a direct implication of the beloved Lord Balaji of Tirumala.

In this context, a social media influencer wrote to Andhra Pradesh, IT Minister Lokesh “To Honorable Minister Nara Lokesh and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, I request you to take appropriate steps to protect innocent youth from this, as the betting app Govinda, named after the sacred Lord Venkateswara, is being run by film stars Tamannaah and many other celebrities on Telegram, Instagram, Facebook and websites for several years.”

This statement drew a quick reaction from the Andhra Pradesh city minister, as he said certain measures are being taken to comprehensively and legally eradicate this issue forever.

“Betting apps are destroying lives. I get to hear hundreds of heart-wrenching stories about youngsters being pushed into despair because of their addiction to gambling. This has to stop. The long-term solution is continuous awareness and acting tough on betting apps. We are working on a comprehensive anti-betting policy that will set an example for the entire country. All legal routes will be explored to put an end to this menace” Lokesh tweeted.

These applications need to be eradicated at the earliest, and there must be certain legal barriers to safeguard the public from such antisocial activities.
