After the introduction of the GST model by the government of India, several independent vendors across the country have been receiving various GST notices for massive amounts of money.

In this context, we have a vegetable vendor in Bengaluru, who has reach GST notice for an amount of ₹29 lakh. He has been dealt with a major shocker as he received this massive fine from the GST authorities, a short while back and is compelled to pay the same now.

This man reportedly sold vegetable produce were ₹1.63 crore over the last four years. This triggered the GST Council and he invited a fine amounting to ₹29 lakh.

This is primarily due to the fact that vegetable had been receiving payments online through UPI from his customers, and this turned out to be a crucial cause against him.

The vendor has been saying that he is unaware of the kind notices that are going to be issued by the GST Council, and that is the reason why he accepted the UPI payments in the first place.

It has to be seen if he would be getting any sort of relief from the GST council regarding this payment that he has been compelled to pay.

After this incident, several vendors across the Bengaluru city have stopped taking online payments in order to avoid coming on the radar of the GST Council.
