In a recent incident, a teenage student created a ruckus and killed his fellow student. He even left many students injured in the gun attack.
A few days into the new year, the US saw some tense scenes. The school attack raised a big debate on gun violence and the serious threat it poses. Experts are weighing in on the debate to give their opinion on the possible ways to beat the threat.
Indian-origin businessman Vivek Ramaswamy who is in the race for Republican presidential candidate responded to the Lowa school attack. He said that talking about gun violence whenever any incident happens has become a trend.
Saying that making strict laws against gun violence will not do anything, Vivek Ramaswamy observed the root cause of the violence should be addressed which is the mindset. He said that mental health is the root cause behind gun violence and we cannot get a solution without addressing it.
Vivek Ramaswamy said that mental health and other issues should be looked into first to deal with the threat rather than taking big gun control measures. His opinion on the issue is getting support from a few corners.
Experts say that what Vivek said had a big point here. In some instances including the recent school attack teenagers are opting for violence. Instead of finding solutions for the problems they want to go for the violent path.
Even for the issues of bullying, teenagers are seeking revenge. Considering these incidents we have to say that what Vivek is saying has a lot of significance and we can get some good outcome if the root cause is addressed properly.
