The United States administration is now starting to crack down on the H1B visa, which is pretty much a lifeline to the Indian community.
Donald Trump had already confirmed that a standard fee of $100,000 will be imposed on new H1B applications which has resulted in companies, reducing the H1B filings in the recent past.
Now the Texas administration has started to do something out of the ordinary as they have confirmed a massive fine structure that would be coming to affect very.
If an employer is found to be guilty of illegally hiring employees within the H1B work frame while ignoring the domestic American population, then they will be subject to huge fines.
Republican Beth Van Duyne confirms new legislation that largely increases the H-1B fraud fines from $5K to $100K and from $35K to $250K. This is applicable to employers who are cheating the system and hiring the H1B workers in the place of domestic American population.
This new H-1B Visa fraud reduction Act, H.R. 10643, goes after employers who intend to exploit the system and it would also extend the minimum ban on violators from 2 years to 5 years, and from 3 years to 10 years.
If this is the case within the United States administration, then we can expect companies and employers to completely avoid the H1B hiring process. This could very well be game over for the Indian population in the United States.
