For a long time, now, the Indian population has been extensively depending on the H1B visa for the work permit in the United States of America. But the United States administration under Donald Trump has been taking some significant decisions against the same.

Thousands of Indian H1B and H4 visa holders are facing serious trouble due to a major visa stamping slot crisis in India.

Many professionals who travelled to India for vacations or family needs are now stuck, as US consulates are not releasing enough interview slots. Several appointments that were earlier scheduled in December were suddenly cancelled or postponed, leaving applicants confused and helpless.

Despite repeated attempts, fresh slots are not opening regularly, and there is no clear communication from US authorities. This uncertainty has created panic among Indian tech workers, especially those working for US companies that expect them to return quickly. Many fear job loss, unpaid leave, salary cuts, or project removal if delays continue.

Families are also affected, with children missing school schedules and spouses unable to plan travel. Some applicants say they check the portal multiple times a day, but slots disappear within seconds or do not appear at all.

Immigration experts believe the problem is due to staffing shortages, high demand, and slow processing at US consulates. With no official timeline announced, the situation remains tense. Until more slots are released, thousands of Indian H1B professionals remain in limbo, uncertain about when they can return to the United States and resume their normal lives.
