Have The YCP MLAs Lists Become Boring?
For this, the party is releasing the list of candidates for the next elections.
By: Tupaki Desk | 15 Feb 2024 12:42 PM GMTIn the last elections, the YSRCP recorded a landslide victory. The party won as many as 151 seats out of the 175 seats. No other state saw such a big win in the recent past. The Party pushed the grand old Telugu Desam Party into a big crisis. This is not what we see regularly in elections.
Andhra Pradesh is gearing up for the upcoming elections. The ruling YSRCP is entering politics with a lot of expectations. The YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led party wants to pull off the 2019 election-like results and even bigger results if possible. The party is aiming to clean sweep 175 seats in the state.
For this, the party is releasing the list of candidates for the next elections. In a phased manner the candidates for 2024 elections are being released. Six lists have been released already.
But now it is said that the candidates' lists have become boring. Earlier everyone used to show interest in having a look at the list to know who got a chance in it. But the same is not the case now say many.
As of now, we have an almost clear picture on who will be the candidates. However, the remaining lists might not create the same kind of interest as per the observations. The reason is that the party is following almost the same parameters in picking the candidates.
Candidates from certain communities are given a chance in the list to give them a push as part of empowering them. If we look at the lists that were released so far we can see the same. Observers say that the upcoming lists might also have similar parameters.
Another reason is that the political observers believe the political fight would be between the parties-the ruling YSRCP and opposition TDP and Janasena. The two parties joined hands for an alliance. The election episode would be a big fight between the YCP and the opposition parties. TDP and Janasena are in alliance and the BJP might join the list. With this, there is an opinion that the MLAs list has become boring.
