People who are into live-in cannot get a house on rent easily. On top of this, they are easily judged. Not only that, people often say that the concept is not fit for Indian society and would affect the traditions here.
Now a High Court raised its concerns about the Live-in relationship concept and said that it is affecting the marriage institution. Hearing a petition, the High Court made these strong comments and also expressed concerns about the rise in the concept and the threat it poses.
A sensational case has reached the Allahabad High Court and hearing the petition, the court granted bail to the accused and made the comments. The incident which is in question has a live-in relation connection.
Going into details, a couple from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh were in a live-in relationship. However, the 19-year-old girl is said to have filed a police complaint against her partner saying that her partner cheated her on the pretext of marriage.
As he was arrested, the boy approached the Allahabad High Court seeking bail. The boy was granted bail and the High Court made some critical comments on the live-in relationship and said that the marriage institution in the country is being destroyed.
Drawing a comparison between India and the West, the High Court said that the concept might work in the so-called developed nations and not in India. The issue with the concept is that the same nations are now struggling to safeguard the marriage institution, the High Court said.
Adding further, the High Court is believed to have said that women who come out of the live-in relationship cannot find a marriage partner as it gets tough. Giving a reason for this, the High Court said that it is not common for a woman to come out of the relationship and families cannot accept them as family members.
