Paris Olympics: Neeraj Chopra, Hockey Team Bring Medal Glory!

Despite giving their best athletes who were expected to bring the medals they had an early exit. It was a heartbreak for the Indians as far as the medal glory is concerned. However, India added a few medals to its name.
Neeraj Chopra reached the finals in Javelin and Indians felt that we would get a Gold. With a small margin, he was restricted to Silver. He covered 89.45 distance with his throw in the finals. This was far distance compared to his gold-winning throw in the Tokyo games.
However, he was restricted to Silver with the brilliance of Pakistan Athlete. Arshad Nadeem threw his Javelin for 92.97m winning Gold. With this he became the first Pakistani athlete to win a Gold in individual sport.
Neeraj Chopra might have not won a Gold but he gave his best and recorded the best distance. India is a cricket-obsessed nation and Neeraj Chopra made the fans eagerly watch the games at the Olympics which is a great achievement.
At the Tokyo Olympics, he won a Gold and in Paris, he won a Silver and joined the elite list of athletes who won medals at different events. Talking about his performance Neeraj Chopra said that he was happy with his performance and yet he had to improve. He congratulated the Pakistani athlete saying that everyone reaches the stage with a lot of hard work.
The Hockey team made us proud on the international stage with a bronze. With this India added two consecutive medals. In the 2020 games as well Indian Hockey team won a bronze and it did the same in 2024 too.
Hockey had a golden period between 1920-80 with as many as 11 medals. So far the Indian hockey team won 13 medals. Captain Harmanpreet Singh is a hero for India. He had a golden touch on the field as he made crucial goals in all the clutch matches.
Goalkeeper PR Sreejesh is the second hero behind the team India’s performance. With a medal glory to his name, the veteran player announced his retirement.
