As the law is active, the rape survivors faced troubles. They could not go for abortions in their states. Even in states where there is no ban women face issues due to the restrictions.
A research report was produced on the topic and the issues faced by the women. Citing the numbers across the states where abortions were held, the report said that due to the clauses in the law, women cannot access the facility.
On average just ten abortions were performed per month which is very less. This is an example of the issues women face, particularly rape survivors. As they could not go for the abortion due to the legal issues, the victims and their family members are facing issues, the report says.
