Women Eggs, Hormone Injections: What’s Happening In Hyderabad Hostels?

A significant portion of the external population who travelled to Hyderabad preferred to stay in PG's and hostels. But something extremely detrimental is happening with regard to the women's hostels across the city.

Now we are witnessing a horrifying human exploitation that has reportedly happened at certain hostels in the city.

A major alleged egg donation racket has been busted by Hyderabad Police, with 43 women rescued and eight people arrested.

According to the police, the network operated across multiple states and allegedly used IVF and fertility centres to recruit women for commercial egg extraction.

An alleged egg-harvesting racket has surfaced at a women's hostel in Saroornagar as young women were reportedly lured with money and their eggs allegedly sold hospitals.

All of these operations were reportedly happening at certain hostels in the city, where women were being exploited brutally for medical reasons.

Investigators also uncovered claims of hormone injections, financial incentives and organised recruitment. The case has raised serious concerns over the exploitation of women in the name of fertility treatment.

The police have registered the case on priority and communicated that there will be significant crackdowns on such operations across Hyderabad starting very soon. Human medical exploitation is an extremely punishable offence, and the consequences can be pretty devastating too.
